The Free-to-Play model has been a core principle of Stellar Forger since the project’s inception. We believe that forcing players to invest money upfront to enjoy the game is unreasonable and prevents many traditional players from exploring NFT-based games.
New players are given a free Hero upon joining, allowing them to participate in battles and earn in-game rewards. As they progress and reach higher ranks, they will unlock their second and third Heroes. After each battle, players can claim $A8 and SF Points, which can later be converted into $MEDAL. Additionally, players can gather resources to forge new gear and equipment, continuously reinvesting into their progression through a sustainable gameplay loop.
When players log into the game for the first time, they will be given a free hero at Level 1. Players can still use Gold or artifact fragment to upgrade those heroes for free normally. The only difference is that free heroes are not eligible for minting and being sold on the NFT marketplace.
Free Heroes have lower stats and tiers compared to NFT Heroes, directly impacting battle performance and the points earned per match, which affects token conversion.

Free Heroes are in-game assets, whereas NFT Heroes are onchain assets with full ownership and trading capabilities.

If you prefer not to invest money, you can use a Free Hero to participate in battles, accumulate in-game rewards, resources, gears, and points, then convert them into $MEDAL. Over time, you can use earned tokens to purchase a Season Pass, upgrade assets, or acquire NFT Heroes and stronger gear sets. Alternatively, you may trade $A8 & $MEDAL in a peer-to-peer market
NFT Hero & Fast-Track Path
You can acquire NFT Heroes through for official NFT Package drops or purchase and open NFT Packages using $A8 tokens. Owners of NFT Heroes gain access to exclusive special events, higher-tier rewards, and greater token-earning potential. NFT Heroes serve as digital assets, which can be traded or used to earn rewards and income through active battles in Galaxy Wars and upcoming game modes. As $MEDAL token distribution expands, NFT Heroes will play an even greater role in the ecosystem.
Leaderboard & Competitive Earnings
For players seeking greater rewards, refining your skills, strategy, and battle efficiency will allow you to climb the leaderboards and earn exclusive token rewards.
